Greg Alderson

Principal Engineer


Greg graduated in 1976 from NSW University and has worked in Local Government from school, being 1969 till 1993 when Greg commenced his own consultancy firm.  Greg has received awards in engineering including a National Award for Innovation in Engineering. 

During 43 years of civil, structural, traffic and environmental engineering Greg has consistently been involved with developments, structures, coastal works, roads, SWD, environmental engineering, water and sewerage.  At Blue Mountains City Council, Penrith City Council and Byron Shire Council he was involved with design, constructed and maintained all facilities at these Councils.  At Penrith and Byron Council he was the engineer responsible for the development of subdivisions, structural developments, water and sewerage, developer contributions plans’.

 Greg was also the Works and Services Director, Chief Engineer at Byron Shire Council from 1986 to 1993, responsible for road, bridges, parks and reserves, stormwater drainage, water sewerage, tourism, engineering aspects of developments, and traffic.

 In 1993 Greg left Byron Shire Council, and set up his own consultancy, Greg Alderson & Associates.  In the 23 years of consultancy Greg and his employees have provided a wide range of services including structural engineering, construction supervision, general civil engineering, coastal, water and sewerage, environmental engineering.

Anthony Mallam

Senior Structural Engineer


Anthony has an innate ability to see the big picture and both define and resolve the critical issues impacting on the structural elements.  His role is to provide leadership and direction for the team, ensuring that the structural solutions adopted are cost effective and buildable.  He is a practical engineer who takes into account important constructibility and economy issues in any project with which he is involved. Anthony has lead structural and civil consultancy teams within his previous role on the following projects.

Wendy Attrill

Senior Environmental Scientist

Wendy is an Environmental Officer with more than 15 years’ experience in environmental consultancy.  Wendy has completed Environmental Impact Statements (EIS) and Statement of Environmental Effects (SEE) for various developments including extractive industries and prepared Operational Management Plans for such projects.  Wendy has also prepared various Soil and Water Management Plans and sediment control plans for a variety of development applications.  Wendy undertakes Acid Sulfate Soil Assessments, Contaminated Land Assessments and Remedial Action Plans (under SEPP 55) and various on-site wastewater management assessments.  Wendy has recently been involved in a focus group for the draft Lismore Wastewater Management Strategy and assisted in the initial preparation of the draft Richmond – Tweed Regional On-Site Wastewater Management Strategy.

Stuart Edwards

Civil / Structural / Heavy Lift ENGINEER


Stuart has over 15 years’ experience in construction engineering, modularisation, lifting and heavy transport. Stuart has extensive experience covering heavy lift, structural, civil and project engineering and has worked across a wide range of projects. 

Stuart held various roles within the temporary works and construction methodology team John Holland’s Specialist Engineering business including leading John Holland’s team of Heavy Lift Specialists and Engineers.  The team delivers engineering expertise for lift and logistical methodologies including temporary works design and construction methodology, lift plan development and vetting and heavy lift supervision.  Stuart was instrumental in the development of key innovations within John Holland, developing industry leading systems and procedures which also included an automated lift planning tool and Lift Designer training package as part of John Holland’s G6 Safety Management initiative.

Prior to that he was the Engineering Manager (QLD) for Boom Logistics. In this position, Stuart was responsible for leading a team delivering project engineering, operational delivery and business development. Other roles during his tenure at this organisation included Safety, Quality and Training Manager and Project Engineer. In addition, Stuart has held a number of roles, Construction Engineer for VicRoads, and Civil Engineer (Land Development) with Tomkinson.

Stuart holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering (First Class Honours) and a Bachelor of Business in Business Administration (with Distinction) from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology.
